Pet Care Services & Rates

Care you can trust, comfort they know—right at home.

In-home visits, happy routines

Need an alternative to cat & dog boarding? I provide a comfortable, in-home pet sitting experience for your pets—so they can stick with the routines, spaces, and cozy corners they already love. This page walks you through what I offer, what a visit includes, and how to think about visit frequency so you can book with confidence.

Drop-in Pet Sitting for Dogs and Cats

Drop-in visits are my core service. Instead of moving your pet into a new environment, I come to them—checking in, caring for their needs, and giving them the kind of attention that makes time away easier on everyone.

Drop-ins are a great fit for:

  • Cats who do best in familiar territory
  • Dogs who prefer their own home base
  • Households with both dogs and cats who want one simple plan
  • Pet parents who want a professional option that isn’t boarding

If you’re not sure whether drop-ins are the best fit for your situation, reach out and tell me about your pets and your schedule. I’ll help you think through options.

The essentials, your way

What’s Included With Your Visit?

Every home and every pet is different, so I keep visits centered on the essentials and your instructions.

During a typical visit, you can expect care like:

  • Fresh food and water (based on your routine)
  • Potty breaks for dogs (and whatever your normal flow is)
  • Litter box care for cats
  • Basic home pet-care tidying related to the visit (the practical stuff that keeps things comfortable)
  • Affection and attention at your pet’s pace—whether that means playtime, company, or calm check-ins

Have specifics—timed meals, multiple pets, shy-cat strategies, “please don’t let them have access to the treat cabinet”? I love specifics. The clearer your notes, the smoother your trip.

How Many Visits Does Your Pet Need?

This is one of the most common questions I get, and the honest answer is: it depends on your pet’s normal routine, personality, and how long you’ll be away.

Here are a few helpful guidelines as you decide:

For dogs: Many dogs do best with multiple check-ins spaced through the day because their needs change quickly—potty breaks, meals, and general “I’m bored, where are you?” moments. If your dog is used to frequent outdoor time, it’s smart to plan visits that match that rhythm.

For cats: Cats can be wonderfully independent, but they still need consistent care—fresh water, food, litter box attention, and a check-in that respects their vibe. Some cats want a visitor immediately. Others prefer you acknowledge their presence from across the room like a polite houseguest. Either way, regular visits keep things running smoothly.

For mixed households: If you have a dog-and-cat crew, we’ll build a plan that covers the dog schedule while still supporting the cat routine.

Not sure what cadence makes sense? Tell me your usual weekday routine and the length of your trip, and I’ll help you map out a practical visit plan.

Pooper Scooper Service

If your yard needs a reset, I also offer pooper scooper service. It’s a simple add-on that can make coming home feel a whole lot nicer—especially after travel.

Want this included with your pet sitting schedule, or as a standalone service? Send me a message and let me know what you’re looking for.

Service Area

To keep scheduling realistic and travel time manageable, I currently serve Reno zip codes 89509 and 89519.

If you’re just outside those areas, you’re welcome to ask—but please understand I may not be able to accommodate requests beyond my current service area.

New Client Consultations (Meet & Greet)

If you’re new to Ruff Ruff Ruff Meow, we’ll plan a consultation/meet & greet before your first service. It’s our chance to make sure I understand your pet’s routine, where supplies are kept, and the little household details that make visits easy.

If you already have questions while you’re booking—visit frequency, best timing, how to set up a smooth plan—ask away. I’m happy to talk it through.

Policies That Affect Scheduling

Clear expectations make for smooth pet care. Here are a few common policy areas that can affect scheduling and planning.

Holiday Fees

Holiday periods tend to book up quickly and can come with different pricing.

Cancellations & Changes

Travel plans shift—totally understood. If you need to cancel or change dates, reach out as soon as you know. The earlier I hear from you, the easier it is to adjust your schedule.

Home Access & Keys

Visits depend on being able to access your home when scheduled. During your meet & greet, we’ll go over the most reliable way to handle access so there’s no guesswork later.

Inclement Weather

Reno weather can be unpredictable. If conditions impact travel or access, I’ll communicate with you about adjustments as needed. If you have weather-specific instructions (alternate entrances, garage codes, “avoid the back gate when it snows”), please share them up front.
